Brutality will prevail - Misery sequence

The sixt album of this Welsh band, their first on Beatdown hardwear records.  Released in 2019, this is the clear/purple black splatter limited to 100 copies. They bring you heavy hardcore with doom influences.  Most remarkable track is breathless, a doomy track with female vocals of Toni Coe-Brooker. Listen to it, love to hear this live.  The whole albums is good, sound is good, vocals are good.  Maybe the cover is a little less.

Body count - Carnivore

Body count

Carnivore

Three years after bloodlust is here the new body count album, released on century media.  It's released in a lot of colors.  I got 3 of them.  Transparent red (century media), mint green (EMP) and sun yellow transparent (nuclear blast).  All limited to 200 copies.  All come with a cd, double sided poster and lyrics sheet.  This is after the debut album defenitely their best.  It's the most thrashy album they made, just listen "to point the finger" with guest vocals of Riley Gale (Power trip).  There are more guest vocals on it, Jamey Jasta's (hatebreed) contribution isn't that impressive on "another level".  Then Amy Lee does it better on "when I'm gone".  Together with the vinyl bonus track the albu has 3 covers on it.  2 Ice-t reworks and the motorhead cover, they all sound sice but I rather had 1 or 2 more original tracks on it.  It feels like the album had to be released however it wasn't completed yet.  Despite this it's a great album, it starts heavy and aggressive and that's how it ends.

Bonded - Rest in violence

Bonded

Rest in violence

A new German thrash band with former members of Sodom, Suicidal angels and Assassin.  This album is released on century media and limited to 200 copies, I have a nice dark green one.  This is one of the best thrash records that I heared in the last years.  It's aggressive and still have enough melody to make the tracks recognizeble.  This album got power, melody and the raw voice of Ingo Bajonczak which fits this music well.  The titletrack has the guestvocals of Bobby Ellsworth (Overkill) on this killing fast track.  The resting point on the album is "No cure for life", it's not a balad but it's a lot slower.  After that it's thrashy again.  This is definitely an album you got to hear.

Cro-mags - In the beginning

Cro-mags

In the beginning

After 20 years there's finally a new cro-mags album.  All the members there in the band now have already been, at some time, in the cro-mags.  In Europe it's released on Arising empire records.  When I got the tracklist I was a little disappointed because half of the tracks are also on the earlier released ep's, I was hoping for more new stuff.  These are ofcourse good tracks and the album starts with 4 of them.  Most of the tracks are fast and furious with aggressive vocals on it.  On the second half of the album there is some more variation in the tracklist.  "The final test" has more clean vocals, "Two hours" is a groovy track with spoken lyrics on it.  The third divergent track is the instrumental "between wars", not my favourite track on the album.  It's also on the "from the grave" 7".  All by all this is a good cro-mags album, the most hardcore album they made with not that many metal influences.  I have the nuclear blast version (bilious green) and the EMP version (clear red) both limited to 200 copies.  The coretex color is on the way and there also 4 colors released in the US.

Asphyxia - Exit:reality

Asphyxia

Exit: Reality

Asphyxia is a Belgian thrashband and released Exit: reality in 1991 on Rumble records.  They bring you 40 minutes of midtempo thrash.  Sometimes the gaspedal is pushed but most of the tracks have a very nice groove (slice of death, one big family).  After 29 years the album still sounds up to date, it's not overtaken by time.  Its unfortunately the only album they released, beside some demo's. Still looking for the lp version and the demos.  If anyone got them let me know (even the digital ones).

Live Baton rouge 15-03-1992

2 cd's with the same live recording from 1992.  The copkiller cd is released by live line & Body count's in the house by Bundy records.  I know there are more bootleg cd's with the same recording available.  The cd starts with 2 tracks of Ice-T.  Power and 6 am in the morning, wich is recorded for the new carnivore album. The other tracks are great early Body count recordings with a good sound.

Agnostic front - Raw unleashed

Agnostic front

Raw unleashed

Cd filled with early Agnostic front tracks.  Released in 1995 on grand theft audio.  60 minutes and 62 tracks.  All recordings are pre united blood but most tracks are from this ep but in a different mix.  There's also a rehearsal recorded in Don Fury's studio and 2 tracks are from a compilation.  There also some tracks from the victim in pain album and even some of the first madball ep.  I think 2 tracks are never released on any agnostic front album. It's a good overview of the early Agnostic front with good sound, definitly worth buying it.

Agnostic front - I remember 7"

Agnostic front

I remember 7"

New ep from the hardcore legends, released on Bridge nine records. I have the grey one, limited to 1200 copies. There's also a download code included. The 7" has 2 tracks from the "Get loud!" album and 1 exclusive track. The title track is the most punky/sing along track from the album and will do great when played live. Get loud! has also that punky vibe, a mid tempo track. The exclusive track is "You're gonna pay", it's short and fast. Old school hardcore. The cover is from Sean Taggart who also made the cover of the new album and the classic "cause for alarm"

Our hate - Defiled by evil mcd

Our Hate

Defiled by evil

Three months after the release party the new EP from this Belgian band is finally released.  Sliptrick record brings you this 15 minutes of brutal thrash/hardcore release. The EP is more thrashy and the sound of the record is better than their full cd "hate will prevail".  Where their debut album was missing something qua sound is this a brutal, aggressive and raw record.  The tracks have enough melody to give each track its own identity.  Speak to me has clean vocals on the chorus and this works very good, one of the best tracks from this ep.  Together as one is the track with the most hardcore influences, moshy parts and spanish guest vocals from Jacob Camara of Vendetta FM.  The 3 other songs are full gas and yet catchy (Punicher), the riffs blow up your ears.
This is definitly one of the best releases from Belgium in the last years, this is metalcore how it should be.  Check them out on spotify.
